Album: Bree's B-DayPics from Bree's birthday party. Most of these photos were shot by new amateur photographer, Tyler Tuttle. His sharp eye for detail and use of depth and lighting are amazing. ;) Changed: 04/16/11

Album: Portland, May 2004I spent this past week in Portland, Oregon doing the daily grind for Sirius. I had visited twice previously, once for about four hours, and another time >24 hours. But this was my first real visit down.
A major benefit of this trip was getting to see Ajia and Cory again. They introduced me to their good friends, cooked wonderful food, and invited me to join them on some great adventures. We flew around Mount St. Helens in a small Cessna, and ended the week on the Pacific Coast of Oregon. I made some great friends that I hope to see very soon again. This album is in process, and I will be updating and moving photos into different albums to categorize the week.

Album: Camping in Mt. Hood State ParkThis was my first time camping in the PacNW. And yes, it was everything I hoped it would be. We only stayed for about 24 hours (Sat to Sun). But even though it was short, we had a blast. A few other people were supposed to go, but it ended up just being Ajia and Cory, their friend (and mine, now) Shannon, and myself. The river was extremely cold. It is fed by an underground spring from a glacier on Mt Hood. It should warm up in the summer for swimming, but for now it is C-O-L-D. I waded the river quite a few times... After your limbs go numb from the cold it's pretty nice! The area is absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to go back. My favorite area is in the last pics-- a winding area of the river that has volcanic cliffs on both sides (perfect for summer jumping!) and small "swimming pools" form when the water level drops. Album: Opening Day at William LakeThis weekend was my first vacation in the State of Washington. Opening day for fishing season is a pretty big deal here. So I packed up the GTI and headed for the Stahlborn/Tuttle family lakehouse at Williams Lake, about four hours from Seattle. The lake is an old, defunct volcanic crater. We fished on and off all day Saturday with decent success. I caught a rather large fish-- my first time fishing since third grade! (the fish in the net with the beer can for size comparision is mine) Sunday was a lazy day, a little bit of fishing from the spit and from Clark's awesome rig. We ended the day with a little cliff jumping. The water was a bit chilly-- 40-50 degrees. We tried out two cliffs, a smaller one directly across from the lakehouse, and a larger one a shorter boat ride down the lake. The higher cliff was definately the best experience. We kept the acrobatics to a minimum--no crazy stunts on this first round. Maybe our next visit will include some flips, one-and-a-halfs, or gainors. We'll see..... :) Changed: 12/18/06
