Album: The Big Yellow Project

This was my last big project/customer vehicle before leaving Custom Sounds. This is a demo/promo vehicle for the record label, No Loot Records. No Loot wanted it to be bigger and better than any Hummer we could find anywhere. Almost nothing was spared in this project. We had the vehicle at my shop for about 6 months. Here is the list: Kenwood DVD/CD/AM/FM/MP3, KENWOOD Music Keg and Sirius Satellite Radio; Custom molded Kenwood 8" Touch screen (for movies and eventually Navigation and rear camera); Focal 3-Way Utopia Speakers in every door, color-matched; Eclipse Point Source 4" Center Channel in a custom built Ostrich Leather-wrapped housing; 8 Phoenix Gold amplifiers; 8-7" screens, all custom dyed to match the Hummer OE interior-- One in each headrest, two in the upper center console, 1 in each visor; 3-15" Flip-down screens, 4- JL 12w7's in a custom ported box, Escort SR7 Radar detector with Laser Diffuser, Viper 791 Alarm/Remote Start, 2 400amp Alternators, Optima Yellow Top... 26" Spinners (the real thing) with custom powder coated "spinners". Custom powder-coated front grille, bumper, and scratch plate, all seats and doors custom stitched with Ostrich leather. This is way too "bling" for my tastes, but it was fun to develop and deliver such an eccentric project. More pics to come of the finished rear cover panels (the first set were temporary).

Album: Custom Sounds Demo Vehicle

This Honda Civic is my personal baby of all the Custom Sounds demo cars. I volunteered to find the company a new demo vehicle. I found this vehicle in Cincinnati very close to where my brother lived. I had him inspect it for me-- he test drove it and snapped pictures from just about every angle capturing every corner of the vehicle. I got the "go ahead" from the bosses and hopped a short flight to Louisville. Paul picked me up and we headed back to Cinci to make the purchase. When I bought the car, she was already modded with Neuspeed spring (on stock shocks) sitting on 17" Axis White 5 spoke rims, DC Sports ceramic-coated header, and AEM Cold Air Intake. The next day I headed home, driving the Electron Blue Pearl "Cop Magnet" 5 hours back to St. Louis (with no radar detector). The vehicle was heavily modified to incorporate the stereo system. The entire process literally took around a year (procrastination, multiple design changes, delayed sponsor equipment, and life-in-general). The install credit goes to Mark Jarvis, former regional install manager for Custom Sounds. More text later......
